While booking a desert tour which includes a camp, you have to take into account a few factors: location, quality, hygiene, price. Morocco desert camps are set in 3 different comfort degrees: Royal and Luxury camps, Standard camps, and Basic camps.
Luxury camps
These luxury desert camps are built so that you have the ultimate Sahara Desert experience.
The tents: your luxury tent is equipped with air conditioner and furniture. You can sleep in these tents year-round, as the tent materials are more weather friendly to absorb heat and cold. You’ll have A/C or heater to properly accommodate you.
Toilet facilities: toiletries, ensuite shower with hot water, sink, and WC.
Price range: from 70 to 250 Euros per night (with camel trekking, dinner and breakfast included).

Standard camps
These standard desert camps are built so that you can have the basic needs of comfort.
The tents: your tent is equipped with a proper bed and mattress. You can comfortably sleep in most of these tents year-round, except during the months of June, July and August as it will be unbearably hot to be inside. So hot you will probably sleep outside.
Toilet facilities: free towel and soap, shared shower with hot water, sink, and WC.
Price range: from 20 to 50 Euros per night (with camel ride, dinner and breakfast included).

Basic camps
These desert camps are not built thinking about the client and you will not have the basic needs of comfort.
The tents: your tent will be extremely hot from May to September, so hot that can you will probably have to sleep outside. Your bed is a simple mattress on the floor. You should be suspicious about the hygiene level and careful not to get bed bugs.
Toilet facilities: no shower and toilet in most cases is the “nature”.
Price range: from 10 to 20 Euros per night (with camel safari, dinner and breakfast included).
